Afternoon Activities
Always Available Camping at Pine Valley means you’ll never have a lack of fun. During designated afternoon activity time or any other time where you have a few extra moments during the day, enjoy horseshoes, gaga ball, 9 Square in the Air, outdoor basketball, sand volleyball, hiking trails, soccer, and football. Additionally, adults can check out keys and equipment for our tire swing, game room, disc golf, yard games, and scavenger hunt.
Archery Whether or not you have target practice scheduled as a class, adding archery to afternoon activity time will allow students to further build their marksmanship.
Arrow Tag Take archery to a new level. With specifically-designed arrows and safety gear, participants can battle in this unique activity.
Field Games Join our staff for a variety of fun on the field. This could mean wacky relays, kajabi can-can, or finger rocket battles.
Human Foosball Everyone’s favorite miniaturized soccer game has been blown up again in a new way. Participants have the same parameters that the figurines do- playing only as far as they can reach while holding onto their line. This is a great competition to work together as a team while still showcasing individual strengths.
Laser Tag For a high-energy activity, set your blasters to ‘fun’! Using our high-tech equipment, teams will have the opportunity to play a variety of laser tag games, from free-for-all to multi-team matches.
Nature Hike Pine Valley is blessed to be surrounded by the Cleveland National Forest, and we have a network of secluded trails right behind camp. Reserve a time for a guided hike with one of our staff members or visit our office for trail information to take a self-guided hike.
Pine Climb Climbers and adventurers will love Pine Valley’s newest addition. Picture a rock climbing wall, but instead of a wall, you will use rock climbing holds to climb a tree up to over 40 feet. With multiple rock climbing trees of various difficulties, participants can climb alongside their friends.
Step of Faith After climbing to the top of our ropes course using a combination of climbing walls, ladders, and ropes, take one giant step of faith to float through the air and descend back to the ground.
Teacher Time Some schools like having extra time to work on projects or do activities together led by school leaders without Pine Valley staff. If you would like Teacher Time in the afternoon, we can help provide you with an indoor meeting space or reserve the outside area of your choice.
Zipline The most popular activity on our ropes course is the zipline. Climb to new heights, then transfer to a thrilling ride back to the ground.
